Reporting Rule Violations

If you have discovered an abusive domain name and would like to report it, you will find instructions below on how to proceed. At this point, we kindly ask you to carefully read the information provided below and only submit an abuse report using the contact form once you are certain that one of the categories applies and that we are the correct contact point for your report.

Once you submit the contact form, you will receive a confirmation email with information about the registrar, reported domains, date, and a case number required for further communication.

If we are responsible as a registrar or hosting provider, the case will be reviewed promptly by the designated INWX team and processed as quickly as possible.

As a registrar, we are obligated under the RAA to maintain a point of contact for abuse cases. This contact point must be accessible via our contact form, a dedicated email address (abuse-lea@inwx.com), and by telephone at +49 30 983 212 123. Reports of illegal activities submitted by law enforcement agencies, consumer protection authorities, quasi-governmental bodies, or other similar entities designated from time to time by the national or territorial government of the jurisdiction in which INWX is based or maintains a physical presence must be reviewed within 24 hours by a person at INWX authorized to take the necessary and appropriate action. We are not obligated to take measures that would violate applicable law (Spanish and English adjustments still need to be made).

All records documented in connection with the receipt, review, and handling of an abuse report are retained by INWX for a period of two years. These records will be made available to ICANN, upon reasonable prior notice, during this period.
